The right plant, the right place
Each herb is grown and gathered where it grows best — the Limpopo lowveld, the Eastern Cape highlands, the KwaZulu-Natal coastal forest. Dr Gee knows the ground each one comes from. There is no broker in between.
There is no laboratory here, and no marketing department. There is a plant that has helped before, thirty years of watching how it helps, and an honest account of what it can and cannot do. This page is that account.
When somebody tells me what they are feeling, I do not reach for a shelf. I think about which plant has helped a person in that same place before. I trained in Limpopo, and the first thing I was taught was to know the plant — where it grows, when to cut it, what it asks for in return. A product can be reformulated to chase a trend. A plant cannot. It is what it has always been, and that is exactly why I trust it.
So my recipes do not change because a fashion changed. The Herbal Renewal Tonic I bottle today is the same preparation I bottled twenty years ago, because the body it is made for has not changed either. I have dispensed over a thousand preparations to more than a thousand South Africans, and the ones I keep coming back to earned that place slowly, one person at a time. Nothing here is new for the sake of being new.
And I will tell you plainly when a plant will not help. Some things need a doctor, a scan, a prescription — and when they do, I say so before I say anything else. Herbs support the body; they do not overrule it. Knowing the limit of a preparation is as much a part of the practice as knowing its strength. That honesty is the whole of it. If you only take one thing from this page, take that.

Each herb is grown and gathered where it grows best — the Limpopo lowveld, the Eastern Cape highlands, the KwaZulu-Natal coastal forest. Dr Gee knows the ground each one comes from. There is no broker in between.
Cut at the right time and dried in shade and air, not heat. Slow drying holds the plant close to what it was in the ground, so what reaches the bottle is the whole herb, not a hollowed-out version of it.
Depending on the remedy, the dried herb is milled, steeped or alcohol-extracted into a tincture. Every batch is prepared by Dr Gee himself at his practice in Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal, to the same recipe he has used for years.
Tinctures are left to age — the Renewal Tonic for six weeks — before being decanted into amber glass that keeps the light out. Each bottle is the one Dr Gee would give to his own family.
The Herbal Renewal Tonic is a concentrated kidney, liver and bladder preparation Dr Gee has hand-bottled for over twenty years. Every part of how it is made is written below — no proprietary blend, no secrets.
We would rather you trust us for thirty years than for one sale. So here is the plain truth about what these preparations are, written out in full — not buried in small print at the bottom of a page.
Browse the fifty-two preparations, or send Dr Gee a short message about what you are feeling and he will point you to the right one.
